Youth Highlight FBC’s Own Seniors in Celebration of Black History

On Sunday, February 22, 2026 during the regular morning service, six youth in celebration of Black History Month, presented highlights of the lives of several FBC  seniors. The message for the morning, based on Isaiah 40:1-8 and delivered by pastor elect Rev. Charles Gilliam III, was entitled “Faith Defiles Context.”  Interwoven into the multifaceted faith based message were various events chronicling the journey of  Africans in America from 1619 into the modern era.  Following the service, a potluck supper was held in the church’s fellowship hall .  Here are video and photos from the occasion.
